Mike Tanner originally trained as a project manager at Rolls Royce: following this, he worked at Hatfield Polytechnic and then Bournemouth University as a manager, lecturer and counsellor, before establishing his own business.
During 20 years in private practice, he has developed a large portfolio of clients in the South, ranging from blue chip companies such as JP Morgan Bank NA, ABB and Zellweger Analytics, to smaller specialist organisations who supply to niche markets in such areas as electronics, presentation materials, engineering, business services.
In his dealings with the above organisations he has been involved with a variety of projects including:
Mike Tanner has now taken in excess of 50 companies forward to the Investors in People award and is currently working on several further projects. He also works with the Quality South West as an I.I.P. assessor.
Recently he has designed several new products which include Role Manager, Assignment and 22/7. When he is not working he is walking his dog across the Dorset countryside.
