Aim:
The purpose of this workshop is to prepare staff for situations in which they have to make presentations to clients or small meetings: this could either be a
- Sales presentation to a customer
- Internal event, such as progress on a particular department project
- An external one to an outside agency
The event will be participative in nature with practice sessions, video, role-play and discussion. At the end participants will be expected to produce an action plan demonstrating how they intend to continue to develop the skill.

- Ways of responding assertively
- Notes and scripts
- Handling the nerves
- Winning with words
- Body language
Pease bring with you a presentation you would like to work on. There will be a chance to practice this and build on both tactics and content.

All participants will be asked to give a presentation on the course and to listen to feedback on their particular approach. Giving a presentation is a practical skill and can only be learnt through experimentation and the gradual build up of confidence in the handling of different techniques and different groups of people.
